As a military prison during the Civil War, it is an embodiment of America’s spirit. Regular military displays and special events like the Fort McHenry Guard’s artillery and musket demonstrations and drill demonstrations. Plan your trip to experience the spectacular Defenders’ Day fireworks over the harbor. Other kid’s activities and special events are a regular occurrence too.

When you want to see more of Baltimore in one day, you cannot go wrong with Cruises on the Bay. Several daily cruises leave from Finger Piers with adult prices at $19 while children pay $7. And you get all your money’s worth as the boat offers bars, restrooms, and climate controlled top decks. Evening rides and twilight rides, aside from daily rides give you the opportunity to explore the Inner Harbor and further to explore attractions and history. It includes a restaurant and great as events venue too.

A good venue that young and old will enjoy is the Maryland Science Center. It is both educational and entertaining with spectacular displays, hands-on exhibits and the main attraction in Baltimore MD. Considered a mind challenging and imagination explorative experience, you get to witness optical illusions, combustible reactions, learning about microbes, and many more.

The Science Center is closed on Mondays, but Tuesdays to Fridays open from 10 am to 5 PM, and weekends, 10 am to 6 pm. Regular daily special events to educate and entertain include science, plating and electro-etching workshops, gadgets and gears events, dinosaur mysteries, and more.
